This morning we got some very exciting news that we want to share with all our supporters because this is for you! Foxhole won two medals in the 2017 U.S. Beer Open Championship. With over 6,000 entries from around the world this is a huge honor! We are proud to represent our great state of Minnesota.

Old Snaggletooth took home the GOLD and EKG Amber took home the Bronze.

Now we don't want to give Ryan too big of an ego...OK nevermind he deserves next time you're in give him some love!

Hard work and love for the craft is paying off!

Come join us for a night of fun with Charlie Roth Music. Americana, Folk, Blues, Country, Celtic, Charlie Roth is a unique blend of all these genres. What Charlie is best at is telling a story with his rich baritone vocal, acoustic guitar, rack harmonica, and foot percussion.

Thank you everyone that had contributed so far! We would not be able to do this without your support! Here is what your money had helped us do so far! I know this may not look like much but it is a key piece to making good beer! See all that shiny copper...that is for the glycol system which helps keep the fermenter tanks at the proper temperature for fermentation! We still have a ways to go so if you could please keep spreading the word we would be very grateful. Still many great perks to claim

The Willmar City Council will meet at 7 p.m. today in the chambers at the Willmar Municipal Utilities Building, 700 Litchfield Ave. S.W.

The council will hold three public hearings, beginning at 7:01 p.m.

The first hearing will consider an ordinance requested by the Municipal Utilities Commission to set a residential net energy electric service rate at 10.03 cents per kilowatt hour that the Willmar Utilities would pay to customers who generate excess electricity from solar and wind facilities.

The second hearing will consider issuing $1.4 million in general obligation bonds to finance the city’s 2015 improvement projects.

The third hearing will consider adopting a resolution to vacate a portion of the right-of-way along Abbott Drive Southeast (northeast of Assembly of God Church) that has never been improved in order to enter the property into the Reinvest in Minnesota program. The action was petitioned by the Parker-Poss family.

The council will receive reports from the Public Works/Safety Committee and the Community Development Committee.

The report from the Public Works/Safety Committee will include a recommendation to seek designation of Robbins Island Park and five smaller parks as a regional park complex through the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission. The designation would provide the opportunity to apply for state parks and trails legacy funds.

The report from the Community Development Committee will recommend that Lupe Flores be given 30 days to show progress toward compliance with removal of an unsafe building at 944 Olaf Ave. N.W.

Also, the council will consider a memorandum of agreement between the council and senior engineering technician Lynden Wittman to provide additional compensation to him when he assumed additional duties for 18 months in the absence of a public works director.

The council had earlier tabled the memorandum pending review by the city’s labor attorney. Interim City Administrator Kevin Halliday said the compensation matter should be removed from the table and action taken.

Also, the council will consider two liquor licenses.
